Isn't a given that when you order exterior doorknobs for your house that they would ALL be keyed the same?
Newsflash, not always...
Now, I have 5 doorknobs and 3 deadbolts that ALL require different keys.
Maybe this is how the Locksmiths stay in business...they are in cahoots with the doorknob manufacturers.
BTW - the house is 95% done...I'll post before and after pictures next week!!!!

Woohoo!!! I can't wait to see the pics!!!!
Excited to see the finished project! And I would call the locksmith/manufacturer of the doorknobs. That doesn't seem right.
Congratulations on making it through this project! I bet it's beautiful.
Your security is always job one.
None of our locks have the same keys.
It never dawned on me to make any of them be the same....
I was the one sent to buy locks and deadbolts for my house and the contractor(my son)impressed on me the importance of making sure they all would work with the same key. Boy, am I glad he did.
Those guys at the doorknob store won't even attempt to match them up unless you specifically ask. They don't care how many keys you have to go through to get your door open when a slasher/rapist is following you home.
I know the house is going to be beautiful. We all want a virtual tour when its done.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures!
Happy Independence Day!

When we built our house we had the locks all keyed alike. They didn't come that way, wew had to ask.
